Our Families – Inspiring Stories

The strength and courage of our families is an inspiration and over the years Ronald McDonald House Auckland has welcomed thousands of families from all over New Zealand and occasionally the Pacific. Last year alone over 2000 families stayed with us.

There is no better way to understand the value of our House than hearing from our families directly so some of our family ambassadors have shared their story with you highlighting the different circumstances which bring families to Ronald McDonald House Auckland and what their stay meant to them.

  The Muliaina Family, Hamilton
“Mils and I will never forget our Christmas at Ronald McDonald House."

Baby Max was just three days old when diagnosed with a hole in his heart. The news came as an enormous shock for first-time parents Mils and Hayley Muliaina.
