Trish Brown
Trish has volunteered at RMHA Family Room for three years. She started off coming in one day a week doing baking for the families. Trish now comes in twice a week and does baking one day and prepares a family dinner the other.
Trish’s words:
“I feel like part of the RMHA family here, all the staff are lovely and the families are amazing people. Families have got to know me over the three years and greet me with kisses on my cheek when I come in. I find being part of the Family Room a very rewarding experience.
Even though there are sad times I also get to see and hear the miracles that happen as well. Volunteering in the Family room is better than going to work.” |
Our volunteers make a real difference to the lives of the thousands of families that walk through our doors every year. Volunteering with Ronald McDonald House Auckland is a rewarding partnership. Our Volunteer Programme
The time, skills and passion our volunteers bring to our House makes a huge difference and we couldn’t do what we do without them. Last year, our volunteers donated over 10,000 hours to the House – that’s the equivalent of 5 full time staff!
Gardening, housekeeping, and administrative support – you name it and our volunteers are there supporting us all the way. But most of all, our volunteers help us create a warm and welcoming environment for our families.
